“Breakthrough: Reversing Heart Disease with Fork and Knife”
Dr. Hans Diehl (DrHSc, MPH, FACN)
Time: 12:15-1:15 with Q & A afterwards Lecture Room 1
It happened during WWII. It also happened with baboons. It also happened with those GIs who survived the “Saigon Hilton”. And it happened to the patients of Dr. Dean Ornish and to those of Dr. Esselstyn at the Cleveland Clinic--after bypass surgeries, stenting and recurring angina pain, they did something both outrageous and courageous: they broke their love affair with their rich foods. Instead, they began to focus on “foods as grown”, added some consistent daily exercise and gave up their smoking. And the outcome? Their atherosclerotic plaques began to melt down; their angina pain left most of them within weeks. And the proof initially so strange to so many “who knew better” became published in some of the best and most reputable medical journals providing the foundation for Lifestyle Medicine, the fastest growing new medical subspeciality!
Come and listen to the keynote lecture by Dr. Hans Diehl,
--a pioneer in the area of lifestyle medicine where the focus is on education, motivation and inspiration and intelligent self-care
--the founder of the Lifestyle Medicine Institute
--the founder of the CHIP program (Complete Health Improvement Project), where more than 75,000 graduates and 35 medical publications provide clinical proof that we can do better than merely treating the symptoms of America’s #1 killer disease.
--Clinical Professor of Preventive Medicine at Loma Linda University’s School of Medicine
--author of the best-selling Health Power book translated into 31 languages with more than 2 million copies in circulation.
